WALK TO THE SWING BRIDGE & BACK VIA PINE TREE AVENUE
An old rope strung bridge across the water inlet to the sea is the picturesque setting of fairy tales, complete with a quaint teahouse to sip & admire the views.
WANDER TO THE PIER PAST THE SHORE ROCKS
At the tip of the bay the large pier houses fisherman trying to catch a meal before the local Sammy seal does! Walk over the flat rocks to venture that way & return across the top walkway for an elevated view under the gum trees.
SWIM IN THE IDEALIC LOUTTIT BAY
swim between the flags when the Surf Life Saving Club are present to help you have a refreshing swim in the Southern Ocean, how can you resist with these views?
RELAX AT A PRETTY FOREST WATERFALL
The largest of a few waterfalls here in Lorne is around 30meters, not huge but the setting amoungst gums & tree ferns with black basalt rock behind will take your breath away.
TREK THE MANY BUSH TRAILS
If your feeling energetic, bushwalk the many trails blazed to picturesque settings & some with small waterfalls, all the while spotting wildlife perhaps Kookaburra’s, the largest of the Kingfisher bird species.
COMPETE IN THE ANNUAL ‘PIER TO PUB’ SWIM
An annual swimming event that once finished by downing a beer at the seaside pub after running accross the road! These days it’s such a big structured (& very competitive) event that the beer after is optional, but they’ve kept the traditional name.

Up the back of the town on the southside is an incredible view from a lookout over the forest range as it swirls around the coast-hugging Great Ocean Road. Set the camera to panoramic to try get it all in one shot here.

Ever thought ziplining through the tree-tops would be fun? Try it out at Live Wire adventure park, if you chicken out there are trampolines or you can test your skills on the play circuits for young & old(er).
