The 12 Apostles is the drawcard of Port Campbell National Park, the pic on brochures all over the world, yet some of us think the Loch Ard Gorge beach & its various lookouts rivals the top honours, once you’ve been here to see for yourself you can make up your own mind… & we give you enough time to explore here - you’ve come all this way to see the highlights of the day!

We give you the tragic story of how the Loch Ard Gorge got its name in the Shipwreck Coast before setting you free to explore the lookouts that we point out how to reach as there is a bit of walking involved at this site. Or not, you could relax at the cove beachside & caves the whole time if you wish, its another chance to take-off the shoes & take-in the surroundings.

The Island Archway top lookout also gives you a full view of the Gorge looking back at it if you chose to not come down the stairs to the waters edge, up to you.

On the pathways keep your eyes peeled to spot Echidna (brown spikey ant eaters) often scurrying along the sides & into the bushes, or Wallabies popping their heads up above the shrubs (no they won’t come towards you if you call them skip & click your fingers this is not a TV show its the wild, that said don’t venture into the bush after them as there are snakes in there trying to mind their own business until you show up!)
