  • Its a matter of personal preference to decide which direction tour is right for you.

During our peak summer holiday season (Christmas/ New Years & Easter) the National Park sites visitation numbers grow, with many day-trippers arriving in the afternoon to the 12 Apostles area -

so some people like to travel early & directly to experience these sites before lunch, to possibly have less people around them for a little more tranquility.

Its a matter of personal preference which side of the road you’d like to view the spectacular scenery of the Great Ocean Road coastline from. Our 24 seater bus seats are elevated so you have better viewing above the shrubs & other cars than a standard vehicle.

For those who suffer from hot weather easily, or wish to stay out of the sun as much as possible - during our summer Dec-Feb it can get very hot on some days (but not always as our weather varies a lot & is unpredictable too) so the reverse tour may appeal to you then.

  • It’s not quite as gourmet as the ‘ultimate’ tour as lunch is at smaller seaside town Port Campbell (compared with Apollo Bay) so less trader options to chose from but still a lovely lunch or beach stop & ice-cream fresh from the dairy farms nearby.

The tour travels in the other direction so through farming countryside in the morning going straight to the 12 Aposltes, which is a 3 hour journey, then travel upwards on the Great Ocean Road for the scenery & town visits returning to Melbourne. There’s no stop at the Chocolaterie or Torquay but you can still grab an ice-cream or snack at Apollo Bay.

It’s not much less time than the ‘ultimate’ tour because we don’t cut any visiting time off at the National Parks - it’s needed for a quality tour & what you came all this way for! Also, there isn’t any point arriving into Melbourne in the middle of peak traffic by cutting off exploring time.
